Shepard M. Edelstein graduated from Florida International University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and Business. After graduating, he was hired by Westin Hotels & Resorts to participate in their prestigious management training program in Seattle, Washington.
After completing his training at the Westin Hotel Seattle, one of Washington State’s finest five star properties, he was given an opportunity in the hotel’s conventions services department where he handled all of the room reservations, food functions and billing for some of the world’s largest tour companies passing through Seattle on their way to other destinations.
After three years, Shepard was promoted to Assistant Manager of the Westin Cypress Creek in Ft.Lauderdale, Florida were he stayed until being offered the position of General Manager at The Best Western Oceanfront Resort in Bal Harbour.
Shepard successfully operated the Best Western until age 43 when he decided to become a police officer. After completing the Miami Dade County Police Academy, he spent 5 years with the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department until his father’s passing. Throughout Shepard’s career, he was always involved with computers and technology. He has installed complete home satellite systems, installed home networking systems, and designed and installed complete (hotel) business computer hardware systems.
In 2010 Shepard started SMEdelstein.com. He and his staff strive to create websites that are not “run-of-the mill” but something that looks like none other. SMEdelstein.com prides themselves in going well beyond customer service, creating a lasting partnership between them and their clients. Thier motto is: “We are not happy until you are!”
