WordPress is a free and open source blogging tool and content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL. It has many features including a plug-in architecture and a template system.
What does this mean in simple terms? it means that the user is not required to have any coding experience to create new pages, new navigation, new links, and add images. The user signs into an administration panel and is then taken to the WordPress dashboard. From there new pages can be created, edited and deleted. You can create your latest blog and add or delete pictures easily. If there are multiple contributors to the site, the administrator can assign each user a password allowing them to edit certain pages, blogs or other features.
As mentioned above, anyone can get a free WordPress website. There are many themes (layouts) to choose from; however, they are not one-of-a-kind, meaning that you may stumble upon that exact same site. What we do is create a new and custom web site for you. Then once the site is approved by you, we convert it to a WordPress site that is unique and one-of-a-kind. Unless you have some understanding of HTML, CSS and other web related languages like JQUERY and JAVASCRIPT, WordPress may be the option for you.
