Holidays and celebrations are magical moments in a child’s life. Unfortunately, many of the kids we serve never get the chance to celebrate them. At Neat Stuff children receive gifts for Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa. We also provide prom outfits for teens, colorful costumes for Halloween and birthday gifts. Children who are seriously ill are comforted with a cuddly stuffed animal.
When children walk into our Neat Stuff store, their faces glow like candles. Imagine being taken from your home with nothing but the clothes on your back, and never seeing your personal possessions again. Many of the children we serve do not know the joy of owning a new jacket or pair of jeans. Children come to our store and shop, free. Our smiling volunteers help the kids find special items, and share in the joy of watching their faces beam with excitement. Neat Stuff gives children encouragement, hope and self-esteem.
